Children’s Photographer Michele Parker-O’Riley has never been interested in capturing the forced smile of a posed child. It has been Michele’s goal from the very beginning to capture the true essence and magic of childhood. Her portraits exude the timeless spirit of what being a child is all about - fun, laughter, and imagination.

Michele’s artistry is evident not only in her portraiture but also in the incredible Vitalis Too Portrait Cottage. In the wonderland that Michele calls a studio, children can dance and play their way through Victorian tea parties, rustic farms, teddy’s bath time, fairy wonderlands, baseball fields, Charles’ Dickens Christmas carol and many other imagination-sparking scenes. It is Michele’s belief that real emotions and expressions create timeless portraits and when children feel more like they playing and less like they are being photographed, these emotions and expressions shine through.

Since 2002 Michele has been winning the hearts of her many clients through her unique and timeless children’s portraiture in Zachary, LA, right outside of Baton Rouge. Her creative candle was lit as a child through drawing, and the flame grew brighter as she began to develop her writing skills and wrote poetry and short stories in middle and high school, and winning several awards. The digital camera she received as a Christmas present was the final spark that ignited her interest in photography.

Her husband, Damien, is a true digital artist, accomplished in both Corel Painter and Adobe Photoshop, in which he has been mastering over the last 12 years. Together, Damien and Michele are an amazing team – one that will bring out the best in you, your child and your family.
